Organizaciones nacionales e internacionales siguen pronunciándose en contra de la expulsión del religioso británico Paul Mc Auley al considerar que la resolución emitida por el ministerio del Interior es autoritaria y antidemocrática.
En tanto, la abogada Rita Ruck informó que los recursos de hábeas corpus y de nulidad presentados el lunes serán resueltos hoy, faltando pocas horas para que Mc Auley deba abandonar el país, según el plazo señalado por Migraciones.

cientos de personas que a lo largo de tres cuadras marcharon por las principales calles de Iquitos
en respaldo al hermano Paul Mc Auley, quien en las próximas horas, si es que ya no lo hizo, deberá abandonar el Perú, caso contrario será expulsado del territorio patrio, según indica la resolución ministerial firmado por Octavio Salazar, ministro del Interior, la que cancela la residencia del presidente de la Red Ambiental Loretana.
La marcha estuvo encabezada por la banderola del comité contra la expulsión del hermano Paul Mc Auley, cuyo lema es “Defender la vida de nuestros bosques y derechos de los pueblos amazónicos NO ES UN DELITO”.

Young, environmentalists and activists MIL made against the judiciary sit
Samples BACK-A-PAUL-Largede solidarity did not wait for the religious Paul McAuley. Yesterday a group of young people and activists held a sit-MIL at the front of the Judiciary to protest against the expulsion of his brother. Full support to Paul Mc Auley. With posters in hand and also with orange flags, people gathered at the Plaza July 28 heavily chanted "Paul, my friend, the people are with you", thus giving back the love for the Amazon shown by the British to Throughout all these years.

Peru’s Pro-Human Rights Association (APRODEH) expressed their rejection and condemnation of the Peruvian Ministry of Interior’s decision to expel from the country the British priest Paul McAuley, who they accused of participating in political activities against the Peruvian State and of “altering public order”.
Francisco Soberón, Executive Director of APRODEH, underlined the work of Brother McAuley as a defender of the environment and the rights of indigenous peoples in the Peruvian Amazon. “Brother Paul has worked in Iquitos for many years and from the Church has defended our country’s most excluded population, denouncing without fear the abuses of extractive companies in that region.”
