These conflicts began days before the "eviction" of the private airport by DINOES Andoas. In the hours after a policeman was fatally wounded while on a raid on the houses and orchards of the native community.
The official version - that the police were "ambushed" at the airport - is completely contradicted by many witnesses and testimony and bulletproof signs that remain on the scene.
The persecution and intimidation of populations adjacent to the oil exploration areas reveal a new strategy of close collaboration between private enterprise and law enforcement to the detriment of indigenous rights. In the coming days we will present the evidence found.
