Indian acquitted by the Criminal Chamber of Loreto in case Andoas Jose Fachin.

Indian acquitted by the Criminal Chamber of Loreto in case Andoas Jose Fachin.

The last concern coming from the capital to several indigenous, has been the order of the Chief Prosecutor Pablo Sánchez, who has asked to set aside the acquittal because the defendants in the Andoas protest in 2008, and the requirement to start a new trial. Not respecting the verdict of the Criminal Chamber of Loreto presided over by Judge Carlos Del Piélago.

Fachin José Ruiz, is one of the acquitted by the Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Loreto is today concerned about the requests of the Chief Prosecutor.

"This issue concerns us greatly. We are just becoming aware of the information given by Dr. Tacuri, we believe that the Supreme Prosecutor should not rule because he is unaware of the issue closely, do not know the reality of the process.

We hope that the judiciary can be pronounced, especially Dr. Carlos Del Piélago, because with the request of the Prosecutor, are almost insinuating that the judges here have not had the capacity to develop and make the appropriate decision in the case ANDO "said Fachin.

He added that in the above process the Indians tried suffered greatly, as some were jailed and then released had to remain for several months in Iquitos, far from their families, only for fighting and demanded that the oil company recognized better benefits for all of them.

Conclusions of the trip made by Brother Paul Andoas Print E-mail
Sunday, 16 August 2009 14:07

These are some of the conclusions that come out after 8-day visit made by the Hno.Paul, President of the RAL, the zone of conflict between indigenous civilians and police in the DINOES.

Iquitos, May 02, 2008

These conflicts began days before the "eviction" of the private airport by DINOES Andoas. In the hours after a policeman was fatally wounded while on a raid on the houses and orchards of the native community.

The official version - that the police were "ambushed" at the airport - is completely contradicted by many witnesses and testimony and bulletproof signs that remain on the scene.

The persecution and intimidation of populations adjacent to the oil exploration areas reveal a new strategy of close collaboration between private enterprise and law enforcement to the detriment of indigenous rights. In the coming days we will present the evidence found.

Iquitos, May 06, 2008

The trip made by Brother Paul has been established to Andoas serious doubts about the truth of the version of events in Andoas prepared by the National Directorate of Special Operations of the National Police of Peru (DINOES) and disseminated through the channels N and America.

In the evacuation of the airport commander had taken a camera camcorder to the charge of the Catholic Parish.

But let the manager, Jose Noa, remain in the position to observe the events.

When starting the operation the commander moves to another place another policeman Jose commissioning.

At one point in the second eviction police served a third party without explaining that it is the responsibility of the parish. A few minutes later Jose police gets banged and order lie in the track.

The police call a young man of 16 who is watching from the wall of the airport and Joseph's wife's arm - both now on the floor. Since then Joseph Noa begins a period of 3 days as a prisoner.

In one of the containers where they are detained Jose will be the victim of beatings and witnessed the torture discharged to other detainees.

During his detention, the commander of the Lima DINOES decides to mount a show for the media who had accompanied them from Lima.

A group of prisoners were taken from the Contenidor and taken to a slab in the rear of the property Pluspetrol. There, each prisoner is forced to carry a weapon.

Joseph also was one of a group of detainees who, with blows and cries with foul words, is forced to grab a weapon in front of the cameras of Channel N and America. It is the first time in his life that Joseph Noa carries a weapon. The commander asked his name and where it is. With the response "Cuzco" Commander enhances the name of the city, with the implication that it is suspicious of Cuzco.

The same "show" is repeated with each of those who were taken to the ware of the Pluspetrol and occurred in front of several company employees, and before the prosecutor who was dressed in uniform Pluspetrol. That way the company is complicit in the torture and slander perpetrated against detainees.

Many questions remain and many abuses continue ...

Reported on the death of a policeman in the hands of irate villagers, he knew dozens of detainees during the confrontation with police, but little or nothing was known about the brutal repression of which were native and strange death of a villager, a fact which is not investigated.
